Differences Between 2019 Kia Optima & 2019 Kia Forte
Serving Cincinnati, OH, Fairfield, OH, and Springfield, OH
The 2019 Kia Optima rolls into the mid-size sedan market with plenty of confidence. Available in four editions, this premium car offers three engines. The 2019 Kia Forte is a compact car that comes standard with a lightweight engine block. Both vehicles have 8.0-inch touch screens with the UVO software and sound systems by Harman Kardon. You'll also love the all-new materials that are available for the seats in these updated Kia sedans.
Performance
Producing up to 185 horsepower, a 2.4 L engine receives an entry-level label in the 2019 Optima. A 1.6 L turbocharged engine produces 178 hp and 195 lb-ft of torque in this full-size sedan. You can also select a 2.0 L turbo engine that generates 245 hp and 260 lb-ft. As a smaller vehicle than the Optima, the 2019 Forte appropriately comes with a smaller engine block. This model has an all-new 2.0 L powertrain that completes combustion through the Atkinson Cycle. The Intelligent Continuously Variable Transmission is another new mechanical feature in this compact car. A six-speed automatic transmission and seven-speed dual-clutch transmission are available in the 2019 Optima. This premium sedan comes standard with the High Performance Dampers in the suspension system. Both Kia cars have the Sportmatic technology in the gearbox.
Interior
The 2019 Optima is available with the all-new CleanTex upholstery on the front and rear seats. This durable material has anti-static and anti-bacterial properties. Cloth and quilted Nappa leather are some other finishes that are available for the seats. The 2019 Forte could be furnished with woven cloth, tricot cloth or the SOFINO leatherette. Both Kia sedans offer a 10-way power driver's seat with additional support for the lumbar spine. The Integrated Memory System allows you to save multiple settings for the driver's seat in the Optima. Heated front seats and rear outboard seat cushions are available in this model. You can also select ventilated front seats with three settings for the fan speed. Satin chrome and wood grain accents add modern appeal to the cockpit of this full-size sedan. The Forte could be equipped with optional alloy pedals for extra sporty styling.
Connectivity
The 2019 Optima's 8.0-inch infotainment system is available in the UVO Link and UVO Play versions. Similarly, the 2019 Forte's 8.0-inch multimedia system includes the UVO eServices. Both Kia models have the Voice Command Navigation System with SiriusXM Traffic and Travel Link. You may also listen to HD Radio and SiriusXM Satellite Radio in these sedans. Designed by Harman Kardon, the Optima's 10 speakers generate up to 630 watts. Also designed by this world-renowned brand, the Forte's seven speakers blast up to 320 watts. The sound quality in each car is optimized by the Clari-Fi technology. Android Auto gives you additional audio streaming options in both Kia sedans. The Optima also offers iPhone integration through Siri Eyes Free and Apple CarPlay.
