Differences Between 2019 Kia Forte & 2019 Toyota Corolla

Serving Cincinnati, OH, Fairfield, OH, and Springfield, OH

When drivers are searching for a new vehicle, they often find themselves looking among the sedans. These vehicles are almost always practical, reliable, and filled with the latest technology, so their popularity is certainly no surprise.

Of course, having decided to opt for a sedan, drivers must then decide which one to go with. In many cases, that choice will come down to the Kia Forte or the Toyota Corolla. Both of these vehicles are among the best in their class, so this can be a tricky decision to make. As such, it is a good idea to take a closer look at how they match up against each other in certain areas.

Warranty

When you purchase a new vehicle, it is important to know that you will be able to rely on it for years to come. Of course, one of the best ways to know that the manufacturer is confident in their work is to look at the vehicle's warranty. With this in mind, drivers will be pleased to note that both the 2019 Forte and 2019 Corolla offer excellent warranties. Toyota provides a very impressive 3-year/36,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty and a 5-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty with the Corolla. However, even this very respectable offering cannot compete with Kia's 5-year/60,000-mile bumper-to-bumper policy and 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty.

Interior

No matter what kind of vehicle you drive, it is always good to know that it has the ability to handle the everyday tasks that crop up in your life. Whether you are carpooling to work or bringing a bunch of groceries home from the store, both the Forte and Corolla are up to the challenge. However, as impressive as the Toyota is, it doesn't quite manage to keep pace with the Kia. The Forte offers 1 inch more front-seat headroom, 0.4 inches more rear-seat headroom, and 2.1 cubic feet more trunk space than the Corolla.

Performance

When it comes to power and performance, both the 2019 Forte and 2019 Corolla have plenty to offer. Though both vehicles deliver smooth cornering and rapid acceleration, the Kia begins to outshine the Toyota when you take a look at their engines. While the Corolla's 1.8L 4-cylinder engine can provide a respectable 132 horsepower, it pales in comparison to the Forte's 2.0L MPI 4-cylinder engine which delivers a stronger 147 horsepower.
