Performance
All 2019 Sedonas have front-wheel drive, powered by a 3.3L V6 engine that offers 276hp and 248 lb. ft. of torque when mated to the above-mentioned eight-speed automatic. The Sedona can tow up to 3500 pounds, and it earned an EPA-estimated fuel economy rating of 18mpg in the city and 24mpg on the highway.
Interior
The 2019 Kia Sedona has a standard seven-seat passenger layout, but higher trims (the LX, the EX, and the SX) have eight-passenger seating with a center bench seat. Second-row seats have an available slide-and-stow function for easier cargo access, while the top-of-the-line SXL has comfortable captain's chairs. Cargo capacity is substantial; with all seats in position, you'll get 33.9 cu. ft. With the second row folded down, that number rises to 78.4 cu. ft. Depending on the trim level you choose, you can take advantage of features such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration, Bluetooth connectivity, USB inputs, a large infotainment touchscreen, leather upholstery, and keyless ignition.
Safety
The 2019 Kia Sedona got the highest possible safety rating of five stars from the NHTSA. Though the IIHS hasn't tested it quite yet, the 2018 version was one of their Top Safety Picks. In that test, the Sedona earned a Superior rating for its collision avoidance. On LXs and higher trims, rear cross traffic alert and blind spot monitoring are standard. On the EX and above, you'll get driver attention notification, lane departure warning, forward collision warning, auto emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control. High-beam assist can be found on the SX and the SX Limited.
